It is in great sadness that we as a Brotherhood post the 15th Line Of Duty Death in 2012 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter and Captain Mark Ratledge has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family and members of the Cottonwood Fire Protection District.

Incident Description: Fire Captain Ratledge was struck and killed by a vehicle while working at the scene of a traffic collision on Interstate 5.
Incident Location: Southbound Interstate 5 near the Shasta Livestock Auction Yard.
