Close Call in New Haven resulting from a High Rise Fire

New Haven Fire Fighters responded to an activated alarm that turn into a 3 alarm fire in a 19 story building. The fire was on the 14th, 13th, 12th and 11th floor. Fire extended up and down electrical conduit causing multiple electric rooms that were stacked on top of each other and became fully involved in fire.

The Best is Yet to Come

I have good news and I have bad news.  The good news is that "things" in the fire service are finally changing and changing for the better.  The bad news is that some of you may not like it.

A busy fall and winter ahead.........

I sometimes bite off more than I can chew. We all do that from time to time, but I am wondering if I am a special kind of stupid at the moment!



Not only am I working on my presentation for FDIC 2014 ( I hope it gets approved!) but have taken on teaching an Instructor 1 class this fall.



On top of that, I hope to give my presentation to the IVFA district and the local Chiefs association this fall.
