Where firefighters come to talk training

Hi everyone I created a group called Our Family in Need . It's a group where anyone can list and share requests for helping our own in need or prayers and condolences for our Brothers and Sisters in the Fire Service and their immediate families. What I listed below is also in my new group.

I have a friend who is a Battalion Chief in a local fd. He has been fighting a good fight with cancer and just got sick and is now in the hospital for the last few days. It appears they have not given him much time as of the last report I have gotten and they were looking at sending him home to spend time with his family and friends.

I just ask that you pray for him and that God would comfort him in his time and make him better and be sorrounded by love of him family and friends.

Sure thing Chief! I will put this in the Helping our own and I have a bunch of friends on the prayer chain for the Fellowship of Christian Firefighters and have them put it on the prayer chain.

Subject: FW: Fire Fighter Injury Off Duty

This is from McKinney Fire and Police Chaplain Rickey Hargrave (also serves as a County Fire Marshal Chaplain) concerning injured McKinney Firefighter Richard Smith. Please lift him and his family and the McKinney Fire Department up in your prayers and ask God through His grace and mercy to put His healing hands on Richard Smith.
Chaplains,
One of our fire fighters, Richard Smith, hangs Christmas lights in his off duty job. Last week he fell suffering broken ribs, punctured lung and other injuries. Since Saturday of last week Richard has undergone at least 3 surgeries removing Spleen, repairing a lacerated liver, and repairing other abdominal injuries. He is in critical condition at Medical Center of Plano.

We have a lot to be thankful for on this Thanksgiving day. One thing we are thankful for is the ability to enter the throne room of our creator God and petition the Lord Jesus to be merciful and gracious to Richard and his family.

Please take a moment today and lift a prayer to the Father for Richard Smith, McKinney Fire Fighter and his wife Misty and their family.

Blessings to each of you.

Chaplain Rickey Hargrave
