The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality: NC

It is in great sadness, that we as a Brotherhood, post the 31st Line Of Duty Death for 2016 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter& Fire Chief David K. Britt has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and our Brothers & Sisters with the Severn Volunteer Fire Department.

Incident Description: Fire Chief Britt suffered a medical emergency at his home several hours after responding to a motor vehicle crash. The nature and cause of fatal injury are still to be reported.
