The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality: KS

It is in great sadness, that we as a Brotherhood, post the 4th Line Of Duty Death for 2015 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter Clifford “Cliff” Sanders has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and our Brothers & Sisters with the Caney Volunteer Fire Department.

Incident Description: Firefighter Sanders became ill and collapsed at the firehouse while responding to a grass fire call. Sanders was treated immediately at the station by fellow responders and transported to Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and then on to St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa where he died January 29th from a stroke.
