It is in great sadness, that we as a Brotherhood, post the 79th Line Of Duty Death for 2014 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter & Fire Marshall Samir P. "Sam" Ashmar has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and our Brothers & Sisters with the Upper Macungie Township Station 56, Inc.

Incident Description: Several hours after responding to a medical call, Fire Marshal Ashmar was found in cardiac arrest at his residence. Ashmar was treated and transported by fellow responders to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he succumbed to his injury.
