It is in great sadness, that we as a Brotherhood, post the 21st Line Of Duty Death for 2014 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter & Captain George D. Barnas has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and our Brothers & Sisters with the Wallington Fire Department and Jersey City Fire.

Incident Description: Firefighter Barnas died of injuries sustained when he fell from the roof of a burning commercial structure (restaurant) while, according to reports, he was working to ventilate the building. Investigation into the fatal incident continues by authorities.
