The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality: OH

It is in great sadness, that we as a Brotherhood, post the 11th Line Of Duty Death for 2014 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter & Lieutenant Bruce A. Stayner has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and our Brothers & Sisters with the Scioto Township Fire Department.

Incident Description: Lieutenant Stayner fell ill at home within 24 hours of responding to a mutual aid structure fire call. Stayner was transported to the Grady Memorial Hospital where he passed away from an apparent heart attack.
