The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality: NY

It is in great sadness that we as a Brotherhood post the 40th Line Of Duty Death for 2013 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter Thomas Burley has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for his fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and our brothers & sisters of the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company.

Incident Description: While returning from fire department mandated training at the Niagara County Public Safety Training Facility, Firefighter Burley died from injuries sustained when his privately owned vehicle was involved in an accident.
