It is in great sadness that we as a Brotherhood post the 13th Line Of Duty Death for 2013 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter Michael Broz has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for his fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family, friends and members of the Dorchester County Fire Rescue.

Incident Description: Firefighter Broz passed away from injuries sustained when his personally owned vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree while he was responding to an outdoor fire in the Francis Beidler Forest. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Broz was reported to have been wearing seat restraints at the time of the accident.
