It is in great sadness that we as a Brotherhood post the 38th Line Of Duty Death in 2012 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Firefighter & Asst. Chief Donald Suggs has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family and members of theSummerville Fire and Rescue Department.

Incident Description: Sunday, June 10, 2012, at approximately 1100hrs, Assistant Chief Suggs had responded to an emergency call. After returning home, he collapsed at about 2100hrs that evening. He was taken to the hospital where he passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012, at approximately 0100hrs from an apparent heart attack. An autopsy is being performed to determine the exact cause of death.

Funeral Arrangements: Visitation, Wednesday, June 13, 2012, 1800-2000hrs, O'Quinn Peebles Funeral Home, 1310 South Main ST, Lillington, NC. Funeral: Thursday, June 14, 2012, 1100hrs, Lillington Baptist Church, 210 West Lofton ST, Lillington, NC.
