The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality: VA

It is in great sadness that we as a Brotherhood post the 20th Line Of Duty Death in 2012 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter Jonathan Myers has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family and members of the Houston Fire Department.

Incident Description: Firefighter Myers was found unconscious on the floor of his fire station’s bunk room. Fellow firefighters immediately started CPR. Myers was then transported to DePaul Medical Center where he passed away from a cause still to be determined.

Incident Location: Station 13, 176 Maple Ave., Norfolk, VA

Funeral Arrangements: Pending
