December 21, 2011, I posted a blog "Ask and you Will Receive" here on the Fire Engineering Training Community
Today I ask that you not only read but watch the below video and truly consider what I am recommending.
Today I watched a you tube video that details the LODD incident in Bridgeport CT July 2011. Please take the time to watch this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=BRHQx....
Take the time not just to watch, but to listen and learn how you and your department can apply some of the lessons learned from this incident.
Also note the importance of training your fire dispatchers. After you watch the video go back and read my blog from December and consider my points and the points made in the video surrounding the Bridgeport CT LODD - http://community.fireengineering.com/profiles/blog/show?id=1219672%...
PLEASE take the time to train your dispatchers don't wait the lives of your firefighters may depend on the level of training your dispatchers have.
The NIOSH LODD Report from Bridgeport can be found here: http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/fire/reports/face201038.html
