The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has received notice of the following firefighter fatality: Air Force

It is in sadness and with great honor that we as a Brotherhood post a Line Of Duty Death for 2011 from the USFA. Fellow Brother Firefighter (Fire Dawg) and Airman First Class Derek Kozorosky has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Incident Description: Airman First Class Kozorosky passed away at the Camp Lester Naval Hospital following a vehicle mishap. Details for the fatal incident are pending a full investigation by authorities.

To date, 18 firefighter fatalities have been reported to USFA in 2011; 16 from incidents that occurred in 2011 and two from a previous year’s incident.
