The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has released notice of the following line of duty firefighter fatality in DE.

It is with deep regret that I post the following from the United States Fire Administration concerning the line of duty death of fellow brother in arms:

Initial Summary: Firefighter/Inspector Waynant died after being struck, while on foot, by an Amtrak train. The City of Wilmington is assisting the Delaware State Police and Amtrak Police with the ongoing investigation of the incident. Additional information will be made available by the Delaware State Police which is the lead investigating agency on this case. Incident Location: Area behind Meco Circle (USNG: 18S VJ 5053 9713).
