The USFA has received notice of the following firefighter fatality: LA

It is in great sadness and with heavy hearts, that we as a Brotherhood post the 68th Line Of Duty Death for 2011 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter Christopher Peterson has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to our brothers family and the members of the Ward Four Fire Protection District.

Never Forgetting is to Always Remember

I have started and stopped this blog a couple of times now.

Caring enough to C.A.R.E.

Recent Injury Investigation

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District recently completed a Serious Accident Review. On May 31, members of Metro Fire were operating on a residential structure fire. A truck company was on the roof performing vertical ventilation when a roof collapse dumped one firefighter into the burning garage. The firefighter was successfully rescue by adjacent crews.
