It is in great sadness and with heavy hearts, that we as a Brotherhood post the 67th Line Of Duty Death for 2011 from the United States Fire Administration. Fellow Brother Firefighter Henry Branscum has made the ultimate sacrifice in love for their fellow man. Our sincerest condolences go out to our brothers family and the members of the Northeast R-IV Rural Fire Association.

I have started and stopped this blog a couple of times now.
The first time, there was too much anger. The second blog contained too much sarcasm.

The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District recently completed a Serious Accident Review. On May 31, members of Metro Fire were operating on a residential structure fire. A truck company was on the roof performing vertical ventilation when a roof collapse dumped one firefighter into the burning garage. The firefighter was successfully rescue by adjacent crews.
