Hey Mike, have not had bass in a while, sounds good. Hunting has been slow, no luck with the antelope or elk this fall, took a whitetail doe, and a mulie buck. Still have a few days for one last try at elk, but the weather got bad. Went with a friend to a spot, almost got stuck, snow was deep, even with chains. Hope the snow drives them down so I don' have to go so high. Then it is off to Dallas, Thanksgiving with my parents, and a little whitetail hunting in Texas, maybe better luck down there.
Cold Weather Camping this coming weekend with the Scouts , taking all the new Scouts and the Scouts that need their 5 mile hike up in the Adirondacks this weekend . Should prove to be interesting.Open Lean toos and tents , no running water , just lake water . can't wait
Season is starting again! Personally, I don't think it ever ends, there is always some hunting or fishing in season somewhere! My wife Lucie and I got back from our first trip to Africa a few weeks ago, we had a great time! Took five trophies with the bow, 1 Duiker, 1 Warthog, 2 Gemsbok, and 1 Eland. Also spent some time in Etosha National Park, it was an incredible experience. There was so much game and activity outside the hunting blinds, that it is hard now to go to Eastern Montana Antelope hunting, and spend all day in a small pop up blind, and after 5 or 6 days, maybe 1 will come in range, but not likely. My wife thinks I should just take up golf until I can afford to hunt Africa again.
