Hello Phil Personnaly, I think some of the basic stuff are: first,a very good knowledge of the SCBA. We need to make sure everyone understand the purpose, fonctionnig and testing of every part of their SCBA. Second, we need to analize every part ...

Oh on a related matter, We've recently purchased electric blowers. They work fantastic during the salvage and overhaul phase. Good clean air coming into the building. Let me use a fire we made yesterday as an example. Crews had vented the roof du...

Phil, I've had very good experiences with PPV in the types of buildings you mentioned in your last post. If the crews will place the blower at the base of the stairs and/or entrance to the building and not try to carry it to the affected floor, i...

Mike, The point of using the NIST video and wind driven fires was more as an example of the weather conditions that we commonly experience in Seattle. A 5 MPH wind could have an affect on Fire Behavior. Outside of the tactics on a highrise event,...

Thanks for the greeting Phil...yes, a proud moment for sure. This was the morning after returning from FDIC, don't look too close you'll find the "bags under my eyes". LOL I am waiting for my morning update on those fires...as of late last night things were getting worse. Never thought half my family would be evacuating home due to wildfires...that's just crazy. My brother sent some pics from his phone...I'll try to put them up if I can figure it out...I'm not good at this"techno" stuff. But most importantly...they are keeping a good attitude and following evac orders. I'll keep you posted. I am hoping some Florida FF will need to brush up on their Air Management skills soon...so I can have you guys over for dinner! Great to see you in your gear...and at FDIC. Congrats again on that promotion!
Stay safe..and in touch!.

Hey Phil,
It was good meeting you, Mike, and Casey at FDIC. The book on Air Management is great, I look forward to trying to get some of it implemented in my own FD.

Stay safe!
