Define Accreditation
To me, accreditation is a process by which you provide the framework for continual self improvement. Any other definitions out there? Any home grown? Many naysayers out there and I like to be armed with different responses.

oh i start off as a firefighter, they make us get CFR-D certified but thats it, no ambulance work for me. FDNY has separate EMS and Fire. And the academy is 6 months, it recently got extended and I hear its too long now, but I'll just have to make it through. I cant wait!!

too bad you cant be there but thats a good reason for missing out, good luck with it all. well if all goes well I'm gonna be going into fdny's academy in january 09, so if it happens you wont be seeing me in Indy next year since I wont be able to take the time off, but I plan to be back the year after. Diane already told me she will let me have one year off but thats it, I have to come back :) which of course I'm happy about.
