Fire Engineering Training Community

Where firefighters come to talk training

For all firefighters, rapid intervention teams and fireground commanders. Listen into "Tap the Box" and learn the backstory of "The Mayday".

Many firefighters have had mayday training but not many have been told how we "may react" with physcological barriers that hinder our logical mindset. This show was created to explain to others about how some have lived through an incident and what happened when they were  overwhelmed with outside stressors.

This was a great show!  The entire show was on Captain John Wright's personal experience with a Mayday Incident that occurred in Texas.

Take care brothers and sisters...... and stay safe,

Thanks again Bill for having me on the show!  I hope you guys are all dried out from your hurricane.  I'm still a little disappointed that you didn't send any of that rain our way.

John, It was my pleasure to have you on Tap the Box. Hurricane Irene was downgraded to a tropical storm befoe it arrived in my area but we did get alot of wind and rain from her. There is plenty of cleanup after the water receeds but nothing compared to down south.

This was a outstanding one to listen too, great job

Thank You Mike

It was a really good show!  Some have expressed that they have been lengthy interviews. That is true and we love feedback. To give credit to our guest co-host and to deliver the best, most thorough learning experience for the listener... we have chosen to not skip around and have multiple topics or guests on a single show.

Take care and stay safe my friend.
