Blog Falsely Links Fallen Fla. Firefighter's Photo to Molesting Story

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. --
A Volusia County firefighter was killed in a training accident. Now his widow says his memory is being disgraced by a website linking his picture to a horrible story.
The story is about an Australian firefighter accused of molesting children.
Grease Fire Damages Calif. Sushi Bar
Nov. 11--Agrease fire in the kitchen of a downtown Redwood City sushi restaurant forced the evacuation of several nearby businesses Tuesday afternoon, according to the Redwood City Fire Department.
The one-alarm fire was reported at 3:17 p.m. and extinguished within 10 minutes, causing minimal damage to the Blue Fin Sushi restaurant at 2327 Broadway, said Battalion Chief Stan Maupin.

A large fire is burning at the Independence Ridge Apartments, 19012 E 37th Terr.
Flames have been seen throughout the building and emergency crews are on the way. Several residents have also been seen standing outside the building.

Furnace Blamed for Pa. Shop Blaze
WAYNESBORO -- A Tuesday morning fire caused by a furnace inside an upholstery shop in Waynesboro resulted in $65,000 worth of damage, according to Deputy Chief Shawn Adolini of Mont Alto Volunteer Fire Department.
The fire occurred around 7:30 a.m. at Fortney's Upholstery and Fortney's Patio, 8673 Wayne Ave., according to Jim Fortney, who owns the business with Sam Freeman.
N.C. Rescuers Save Stuck Puppies

Two puppies were pulled to safety Tuesday evening and crews were working Wednesday morning to rescue a third puppy that was trapped in an asphalt tunnel off Stadium Drive.
