Fire Engineering Training Community

Where firefighters come to talk training

The Capital Region FOOLS have formed a Committee to address The Wellness of our Member in the Chapter . This plan was a result of our 1st Training Seminar on 9/28 with Capt. Willie Wines and Lt Rhett Fleitz . After hearing Capt. Wines story in his own words , I decided we have a responcilbilty to our Membership , in doing so we formed the committee to be a Sounding Board for members to contact in their time of need, to talk to someone when they are feeling pressure on issue's whether it be family , work or health issue's . This is a very bold move on our behalf . I'm hoping that we can expand it to getting them to seek professional help .

Hey Mike, I would agree that this was a bold move. I also think it is a needed one. To many times brothers and sisters are affected by the everyday and having a shoulder to lean on is a great comfort. I would like to know how you have made out since you started.
