Currently at my volley department we the officers take suggestions from the line guys and organize what trainings we will have at a quarterly meeting where we establish what training will be for the next three months. We jump between the instructors mostly within our group of officers but sometimes move out to the line guys if its something they want to work with. Trainings are reviewed by an officer in this case to make sure that they are within the boundaries of how we want our tactical operations to work. It’s a pretty good thing we’ve got going there. Now my career departments……… that’s for another day. I will say that no matter what I’ll take my guys from my vol. department anytime in any situation.
