I hope you are doing good. You're missed here. Looking forward to catching up.
  • Mark Chubb

Manitou is what we like to call a "boutique consultancy." In other words, we do small, specialized jobs, and get far less work than we would like. The company is based in Peekskill, NY and consists of a small collection of pointy heads like me, although all of our public safety guys have line and chief officer experience.
  • Kristine Holbrook

whats up brother, miss ya, hope all is well.
  • Joel Holbrook

Dave, still not as smart as you, that last comment from the wifies sign in was from me...duh..again, I hope all is well. be safe
  • Dan Minneman

    Hey Gator,

Good to see you over the holidays. When I think the weather sucks in Dayton, I think of the stories you tell about from Holden. Roger and I are doing a FF1 at SCC this quarter. The thrill to teach is alive and well!

    Be safe, Dan
  • Art Bloomer

  • Joel Holbrook

That instructor is yours truly baby...my pops went through chemo for an abdominal tumor, so in true fashion I shaved my melon as a sign of solidarity. He's doin great and we all have our hair back...
  • Art Zern

    Dave,

Feel free on the logo. I do believe we have met, likely first-in officer. I actually went through the B.S. in Fire Service Management with Buck....what a guy. The IFSI field satff are some of the best people in the fire service.

    Thanks again,

    Art
  • Matt Thomson

    Dave,
What is your response to the guy who says "don't bother me with that crap" regarding training? What techniques did you find are helpfull to motivate the guys who don't want to learn?
  • Matt Thomson

    Thanks for the tip Dave.
  • Joel Holbrook

Brother Dave, sorry to have not responded sooner, it has been a 24 call day and its not even midnight yet (can u believe we turned 6071 calls in 08), the burns were conducted on E Social Row. one house was west of Gebhart Rd, the other east of Gebhart. They were about 2 months apart and we took full advantage of a rare opportunity in these parts. I am trying to get the series of photos complied for brother McCormack. Ill get you a copy if you'd like. M Long took some incredible interior photos.. Be Safe!!
  • Rob Cannon

    Dave,
Great topics so far! Keep them coming!

    Stay Safe,
    Rob
  • Joel Holbrook

brotha dave, in this insatnce I was one of five department instructors as it was a WTFD burn. I am instructing fire/ems for warren county career center, paramedics at greene county career center, and I am still on the payroll for sinclair for when WTFD sponsors fire classes at home. be safe
  • Andrew Brassard

    Thanks for the add!

    Stay Safe,
    Andrew
  • Trey Nelms

The guys that got burned will be fine. The worst are some second degrees to the face. It could have been really bad. The sad part is because the NFD let them down as far as training goes.
Lost my phone on a call not to long ago, so I don't have any phone numbers. Call me soon so I'll have yours again. Talk to you soon. Stay safe.
  • Mike Gagliano

Hey you big bundle of stud muffin... How the heck are you?

Tell your very lovely bride I said "Hey"...

All's well on the West Coast. Tons of travel and I'm almost out of Training Division and back on the rigs. CANNOT wait.

Sorry I won't be at SD this year. I'll be jetting off to Ohio to spend some time with those fine folks. Do your best to harass Phil and Steve a bit my absence.

Shoot me an email and tell me what's going on in your world. Last we chatted, you were head to SC.

    Mike
  • Gary Rauch
