Has anyone heard anything about the Motorola APX6000 XE?  Good? Bad? Concerns? etc.....

Martin, if you'd like email me @ jturk@gci.net and I'll try and be of assistance.

does your department use a radio system that utilizers repeaters to assign talk groups/frequencies and to boost signal strength? A point to point frequencies is one that bypasses the repeater and is of limited range but would not have to "hit" the repeater from inside a high rise. Mobile repeaters are units that boost the signal strength of radio signals.

One suggestion is for crews inside to use point to point frequencies that bypass repeaters - or better yet - use mobile repeaters installled in command rigs.
