does your department use a radio system that utilizers repeaters to assign talk groups/frequencies and to boost signal strength? A point to point frequencies is one that bypasses the repeater and is of limited range but would not have to "hit" the r…

One suggestion is for crews inside to use point to point frequencies that bypass repeaters - or better yet - use mobile repeaters installled in command rigs.
