These things are great for fuel mileage especially in todays economy, but they can and will hurt us bad...
That battery pack in the trunk, usually under the floor mat where the spare usually is, can severely give you a bad day. I took something of a Hybrid Training class too, and it opened my eyes. There are cables running under the rocker panel that we need to be aware of also, so when we go to make the relief cut for a dash roll, we NEED to be looking under the rocker panel for these bright yellow collored cables that will kill us.
Airbags, shock-absorbing bumbers, high tension struts and shocks, hybrid electric cars...too many things that can save a life in an accident, but will kill us trying to save these people...
BE SAFE OUT THERE, and continue your training everyone, never become complacent.
