  • Reading the book "From Buddy to Boss"
  • Meeting my new crew and setting expectations
  • Seeking advanced learning and certifications applicable to the position
  • Formal education (either furthering or beginning)
  • Developing a personal professional development planning timeline (I do these for myself and found that it helped me stay on track and gave myself time frames to meet these goals)
