Where firefighters come to talk training

I'm looking for some help here. We are currently going through our SOG book to update it. My crew is looking at the On-Scene Operations chapter. The current policy seems vague in some areas and extremely detailed in others. We would just like to get an idea of how your policy or guidline is written to give us a sense of the direction to head in. Obviously each department has their own way and we are not looking to change what we do, but maybe how these on scene tactics are worded in the book.

Just a background on us, we are a combo department operating out of 2 stations running under 2,000 alarms per year. I appreciate any and all feedback and help I can get.

Stay safe,

Erbe

Take a look and listen to the posts and web radio from the Fire Law group. There are several good points that will help keep you from exposing your Department to legal problems because of badly written SOG/SOPs.
I will check it out. Thanks Larry.
