Where firefighters come to talk training

Does your department use the Cleveland load? If so, how do you use it and do you have any problems with it?

We have been testing it for 3 months now on all our crews daily training and we have not had any issues with it. We have stretched wet and dry and it seems to work great! We are not using this as a cross lay but only for our high rise pack. Good discussion Todd
Do you use 1 3/4 or 2 1/2 for your high rise packs
-Are you referring to a triple load configuration?
1 3/4 High Rise- There are some departments that are trying it on the initial attack line. We have tested that but found the triple load that we are currently using is faster and works great.

We use triple load for our preconnected crosslays. I think we are going to try and set one crosslay up with a cleveland load and one up triple lay and see how it goes. Right now we are starting out with our skid load that we can use for highrise or long driveways that we cant get the engine down. We have 400ft of 2 1/2 connected to a wye with 150ft. of 1 3/4 and a fog nozzle at the end. So far our department is getting its first exposure to the cleveland load and everyone seems to really like it.
