Where firefighters come to talk training

We have a Carmody Combustible Hazards training kit that we found in our training locker and we would really like to use it. The problem is that there are no instructions with the kit. I have done a search on Google and other web sites and found very little information. I am hoping that somebody on Fire Engineering’s community has used or currently uses the kit and could be of assistance. Thanks in advance.

Hey Joe, can you please email me a copy of the instructions for the 700-c? Ironically we found one of these at our Fire Training Facility in a store room, covered in dust and thought it looks like an excellent piece of kit that we'd like to use, but none of the "old" fellas can remember how to use it, and it hasn't been used for years because they "forgot". email justin.baxter@santos.com
Hi, Chris.

I'm an instructor in Mining Technology at Vincennes University in Indiana. I, too, used the Carmody Cumbustible Hazards Training Kit in the 90"s though I no longer have the kit. I would really like to get a copy of the manual. I believe that most of the equipment used in the bench demonstrations were readily available from other sources. Is that also your experience? I would love to buy the kit if i could locate one.
Best regards. Phil Pirkle

I have not been able to find one for sale anywhere, not much info on internet either. I could email you a copy of the manual and you could probably buy all the pieces from a lab supply store. I think the trainer is great you can really teach fire chemistry with it not just tell the students about it.

Hello Chris. Were you able to obtain a copy of the instruction manual for the 700C Combustible Hazards Trainer kit? If so, would it be a problem to forward them to me as well?

We have a kit in our Academy. The Instructor who knew how to use the kit retired. And now I would like to use it for my classes. Can you help?

If you are able to send them, my email address is richdd@comcast.net.

Thank you.
I have two Carmody Combustible Hazards Trainer sets that I used years ago when I did private consulting/teaching at various fire schools. It is a great tool for instructing fire chemistry. One is in like new condition and is complete, including the manual. This probably isn't the proper forum for selling equipment, but if someone is interested, feel free to contact me, as I may be willing to part with one.

William - I might be interested in one of your Carmody Kits. Please send me an email at dan@frfire.com to discuss it further. Thanks.

Could someone email me a copy of the instructions also?     gsferrell@yahoo.com

Hey Brother Chris...with all these requests you can just upload the instruction manual and the supply list right here at the bottom where it says upload files. That way I can have a copy to or just send me an email on here.

Thanks Bro, Hope the weather in Valdez if your working isn't too windy! Hows the Chugiak VFD these days?
