Where firefighters come to talk training

Incident Command Terminology

Can someone explain how a "Unit" fits in to the incident command system?

For example, why do some ICS charts have triage units instead of triage groups? Why wouldn't you use group since your performing a function.

Bob, that designation has always been fluid, as I understand it has to do with the multiplicity of roles, triage for example can be a function, a location, a team. I will reach out to some California guys who are on top of ICS for thier thoughts but great question!
