Where firefighters come to talk training

I am looking for inexpensive devices that could be used to place in a structure before a collapse so we can train using our delsar equipment to locate a victim.

You can get electronic metronoms for around $20. They could be set to a slow ticking sound.
You may want to contact Mr. Uwe Beckman at www.hotstickusa.com. He knows the DelSar system better than anyone in the world. He also is a wonderful person. Hope this helps. By the way Uwe was the owner of DelSar before selling it to Search Systems.

We have used a set of those cheap walkie-talkies that run on disposable batteries. Put one (or more) where your victim is (we have duct tapped them to manikins too) and then had someone off to the side moan, grunt, cough, yell, etcs. Works OK.
We also have used these radios for team members working in the debris field as they are small, somewhat rugged and if we crush or lose it we're only out a few bucks.
You can also place a digital recorder.
