How Often or Do You Even?

How often do you tour your TSDF facilities?  

Most fire departments will use the "Rule of Thumb" and wait for HazMat to arrive.  DO you think that is an appropriate response?  OR  Do you think we can take response steps for a release to a facility like this?

Ohio HazMat Classes Offered for Free

Ohio HazMat Classes are being offered by The University of Findlay for no charge to the members of your Fire Department. These classes are HazMat Awareness, HazMat Operations, and HazMat Technician. The classes are funded through a grant that has been awarded through PUCO. All classes are compliant with Federal Regulations! Contact Todd McKee at 740 507 8802 to hold a class at your location!

Helmet Safety & Straps

On the front of www.fireengineering.com there is a video regarding a firefighter that fell through the floor and his helmet saved his life. I recommend that everyone watch the video and the next time you see a student or fellow firefighter w/o his chin strap buckled, do him a favor and give him a small reminder. It could save his life!
