hey thanks for the invite to show me around Shirley...i'm not much of a radio guy...i know enough to push the button and talk...but just yesterday we were working a fire and the engine making water supply couldnt talk to the fire attack engine...they were less than 1/4 mile apart...oi...coulda been bad if someone was actually interior and in trouble...so from that working standpoint...im interested...i'l be in touch
be safe

We like the "automatic call distributing" that Positron offers. Vesta proved to be a much more user friendly and basically quicker system for use in a 911 center. However, I think just about every agency in the Valley has now gone to Positron. We were the first agency to switch, which was good and bad. Initially, everyone was very impatient with us, as we got to know the system and work out some of the bugs. However, as the remaining agencies started to switch, they seemed to realize they would probably not have as many problems as we did, because we idenitfied and fixed most of them.

Do you have common terminology in your alarm room?
What software do you use?
