Training, EMS First Responders, a lot of new hires in the past few years and the average time on the job/experience level is much lower than it was with all of the veterans. Fires are down and the "experience" is harder to come by.

Conn. Firefighter 1, 2, and 3 State Fire Service Instructor 1, numerous state certification classes as well as several visits to the NFA. President of the Charter Oak FOOLS of Hartford, CT.
Bio:
Married to my great wife Debbie for 17 years and the proud father of 3 Patrick(14) Charlie (11) and Allie (9). I started into the fire service as a junior firefighter in a volunteer dept. at the age of 16 and retired from the vollies last year with 23 years of service. I started with the Hartford FD in 1994 as a firefighter at E-8. I made Driver/Deputy Chief's Aide in 2000 and promoted to LT at E-11 in October 2007.
