Profile Information

Lives in:
Frisco, Texas
Department:
Flower Mound Fire Department
Title/rank:
Captain/Paramedic
Years of public service:
16
Agency structure:
Paid fire department
Top issues in your department:
We have recently expanded our troops by almost a third. We were fortunate enough to hire 29 new firefighters, opened two new stations, added a Truck Company and made several promotions. To call it growing pains is an understatement, but we are seemingly handling it well.
Professional Qualifications:
Advanced Firefighter, Intermediate Instructor, HAZMAT Tech, Licensed Paramedic, Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Associates in Paramedicine.
Topics you provide training for:
I have been heavy on EMS training over the past several years, specializing in Cardiology related subjects. With my recent promotion, I am making the switch to more fire based training. I have taken an interest in Mayday and RIT training and will be making firefighter safety my top priority when it comes to training.
Areas of expertise:
I'm not an expert at anything, technology moves too fast to make that claim.
Bio:
I started my career in Huntsville Texas as a part time/paid firefighter in 1995. Started with Flower Mound in 1999 and have loved every minute of it. I have a loving wife who supports me and a 3 year old son who keeps me on my toes.
