I have lived in Valdez since 2004. I got my start in the fire service in 2009 as a volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Valdez Fire Department. My full time job is at an industrial facility, where I am a Fire, Safety and Industrial Hygiene Coordinator and also serve as a Safety Officer with the fire brigade. Most recently I started teaching for the Alaska Training and Education Bureau Office of Rural Fire Protection. Growing up in rural Alaska, this was a natural fit for me. I thoroughly enjoy helping to train our rural firefighters and assisting them with improving their emergency services.
