Check out the link to this video of a backdraft that injured one firefighter. I don’t know that there is a lot that could have been done because it is such a short clip.
But, it is important to look for the signs and read the signs of smoke conditions that could indicate a backdraft.

-Wow!!! I would love to know more about this incident, the FD that responded, resources on scene and the tactics involved as well as an update on the condition of the injured.... anything more would be great.
-Without knowing any of this additional information it is really difficult to understand what we're looking at, its validity as a training aid and difficult to comment on.
It would be interesting to find out more Jason. I'm looking as well. With more info, I'd be able to use this again in training. Our first time with this clip, many thought it was a lazy fire in the second floor or attic, then boom! The biggest lesson the guys took away that morning, Brick, was never get complacent, it was a great start!
