Fire Engineering Training Community

Where firefighters come to talk training

I wanted to get some opinions from others and see if anyone can convince me that the new standards for Low Air Alarms is a good thing.  I personally think that the problem was a training problem and was being corrected by proper training.  But now we will have to go back to the old training methods of not leaving until the low air alarm activates.  My department has adopted the policy of air-management and monitoring your air and that of your team to use it effectively and leave at the appropriate time.

What do you think?
