Where firefighters come to talk training

I am very interested in the histroy of the Fire Service and I would love to hear more. I believe we are define by our history and we are losing so much tradition in the fire service.I try to teach the newer guys about some of our traditions, but it seems that the younger generation is not really into where we come from. any suggestions on some of our history that might spark their interest.

I think you landed in the right spot. Have them visit here and read. Sit down with them and listen to Chief Lasky's Pride and Ownership podcasts listed above in the media center. There are other podcasts with Chief Corbett or his trivia questions. Chief Halton is awesome as well as the rest of the brothers he has assembled on this fire engineering website and the resources are enormous. I would also sit down and ask them their opinon how the see tradition in the fire service.

Good luck and don't give up.

Thanks a lot for the help.
Check out "Teaching Tradition" which is right here in tradition group. Scroll down to Marnie Price, she has a present for all of us to use as our own and change to our needs.
