The on deck concept.

Has anyone out there heard of the on deck concept. I think phoenix may be using it but im looking for any other departments that may be using it or is contemplating adding it to there department. The concept is instead of initiating a RIT or other type of fire ground function you have a crew ready on standby to do whatever assignment you need them to do. Then once that crew is assigned another one takes there place. Any info on this would be helpful. Thanks

Tim,
The on deck system is OK if you have unlimited troops. It was devolped by PFD Araziona and works for them, but, I have been a RIT Inst. for 10 years or so and if you don't have unlimited people it is not such a good option. Feel free to bend my ear any time you want may be I can trade info. Stay safe Brother.
