- I have been in emergency services for 22 years, with 22 years of experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and more recently 5 years as a firefighter. As an EMT I have held positions as Captain, 1st and 2nd Lieutenant and Sergeant. As 1st Lieutenant I was responsible for training the membership of the squad in first aid techniques and vehicle extrication. As a firefighter I have held the 2nd Lieutenant, Chief Engineer and the Assistant Engineers position. In each of the positions I have trained the members of the company in first aid techniques and firematic operations. I am currently in the process of obtaining my Fire Service Level 1 and 2 certifications. After-which, I will develop in house certification courses in Cold Water Rescue and Technical Rescue operations.
