"Its our Dept policy that you need to have a quick release to enter the water while tethered. We also use dedicated ropes for water rescue that are kept with our swift water gear."

I started in 1994 as a jr. at Metro west Fire district in St. Louis County, I volunteered until I was hired By Boles Fire in Dec 2003 with their first paid staff. I was promoted to Capt. in Feb of 2005. I am currently active in western wildland firefighting, and the countywide U.S.A.R. strike team.
