The bailout was planned, the room is not on fire and he fell onto fall protection, however while we were prepared to ensure a safe landing. The hook not setting properly was real. After we removed the fall protection and filmed the firefighter on the ground to invoke an emotional response. The point made in the DVD is closing the door durning search my prevent the need to bailout. Bailout kits are great, however they are not fail proof and if you have them you have to train on them.
