I am a 27 year veteran of the Fire and EMS service. I live in beautiful Coastal Carolina and the community of Murrells Inlet. Currently and serve as a career Engineer/Paramedic for the Murrells Inlet Garden City Fire District. I am married to my beautiful wife Katie and have two children. I hold a Master of Science degree from Marshall University in my home state of West Virginia (We Are Marshall...Go Herd). I have spent considerable time training Fire Fighters, Paramedics and EMTs.

Losing a Brother: Those Left Behind

This week our local fire community has a very heavy heart.   Sunday, March 20, 2016, the Conway Fire Department suffered an LODD.  Firefighter Christopher Gene Ray was killed in an apparatus related incident.  This took place in the early stages of a structure fire in the Conway fire district.
