-Interesting video. I'm wondering why there was not more evidence of aggressive ventilation when there is Truck Company arriving early into the incident. 

-Though the video clearly is just a few moments of this event it does demonstrate that there was a clear focus on handline placement with little evidence of Truck Work.

-This video notwithstanding, there has ben a demonstrable shift within the fire service focusing on handlines and nozzles while overlooking Truck Work. Tom Brennen once wrote that he never remembered so many firefighter injuries and deaths as a result of burns as was becoming the trend. His insightful opinion was that it was due to a loss of focus on Truck Work, specifically ventilation procedures. 

-This loss of Truck Work needs to be addressed within the fire service as a whole and the cause of it identified. Is it a skill loss, poor training or the result of manpower deficiencies?
