Bio:
Currently a Senior at Keene State College with a semester left for my Bachelors in Occupational Safety & Health. I have already attained my Associates in Technology with a focus in industrial safety. Both degrees lean heavily on Code interpretation and enforcement. We cover OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA, IBC, IRC, IFC and many other code references during the degree program. I have been employed full time in private EMS since 2005 and a part time employee of the Swanzey Fire Department (combination dept.) for the same amount of time. I recently agreed to a 2 year internship with the Swanzey Fire Chief, studying fire department administration, code enforcement, and inspection/investigation. I have been taking classes online to prepare myself for the CFEI exam through NAFI. I also will be testing for my CFI through NFPA. I plan on pursuing a position with the NH State Fire Marshals Office, or securing a position as a fire inspector for a growing community. I enjoy teaching, and plan on sharing my gained knowledge in any way possible through ongoing trainings with my departments.
