Bio:
Ted Pagels has over 29 years fire and rescue services experiences including 14 years experience as a Fire Chief. During his fire service career years he was selected to serve on many local, county, state, national and international boards and leadership committees related to the fire services. As an accomplished and respected instructor, he has been invited to instruct fire sciences, fire administration, leadership and management, fire prevention, fire investigation and related courses to technical colleges, national and international seminars, conventions presentations and live tele-conferences audiences. Presentation experiences have been in WI, NY, NV, WA, DC, OH, MA, IN, MI, and TN.

Ted Pagels earned a B.S. Degree in Industrial (Technical) Education with a Safety Minor from UW-Stout, Menomonie, WI. He completed his Master’s Degree in Executive Fire Leadership in September 2011 from Grand Canyon University – Ken Blanchard School of Management, Phoenix, AZ. He has earned other master degree credits in Safety, Fire Administration, and Leadership/Management through UW- Whitewater, the University of Minnesota, along with attendance on multiple occasions to the National Fire Academy (NFA) in Emmitsburg, MD and completion of many NFA outreach courses. He has taught NFA outreach courses through the Wisconsin Technical College System. He was selected to receive a scholarship to attend, and then was selected to return as an adjunct and resident course instructor for the International Society of Fire Service Instructors (ISFSI) “Company Officer Development I and II (COD) courses. He has many continuing education and re-certification credits earned from various organizations such as state technical colleges, fire/rescue organizations and private firms in topical areas such as leadership, management, computers, hazardous materials, OSHA, photography, confined space rescue, rope rescue, bomb tactics, fire investigation, evidence collection, and other fire/rescue service topics. He is currently a nationally certified Fire Instructor II through the ProBoard Fire Service Professional Qualifications System International Accreditation for Fire Service Organizations and previously held WI Technical College System Fire Instructor IV certification both the highest levels achievable.

Ted Pagels is founder, CEO and Senior Investigator for FIREPROSe, LLC, a firm specializing in conducting fire/explosion investigations for insurance company and law firm clients. He has testified under oath on 24 occasions for criminal(prosecution and defense) and civil trials and depositions. FIREPROSe also conducts pre-insurance loss control property inspections and municipal fire services consulting. He has earned his certification as Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) through the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) and is completing requirements for certification as Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) through the International Association of Arson Investigators IAAI. He is a licensed Private Detective, holds a detective agency license in WI along with a Private Security Person license. Recently he served as a security supervisor for the Professional Golf Association’s PGA Championship in 2010 at Whistling Straits in WI. Consulting experiences include projects for municipal fire services in management and leadership problem solving, apparatus and equipment purchases, promotional boards, budgeting, planning, and policy and procedure writing/implementation.

Ted Pagels has also served the community in volunteer positions associated with public schools, Cub Scouts, youth hockey, youth flag football, youth dance company productions, and is a 20+ year member of Kiwanis International.
