Bio:
Jack Parow is the Fire Chief in Chelmsford Ma., a 34 year veteran of the fire service and a member of the IAFC since 1991. Jack is an EFOP Graduate, holds a master’s degree in Business and Policy Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Fire and Safety Engineering. He is currently a professor in both the undergraduate and graduate Fire Science and Management programs at Anna Maria College. Jack has been a presenter at many workshops and seminars, covering various topics including Fire ground Command and Control, Hazardous Material Response, Labor Relations and Fire Department Management.
He has been very active in the fire service serving as President of the New England Division of the IAFC, President of the Fire Chiefs’ Association of Ma., a member of the IAFC Election Committee and a representative of the IAFC on the International Code Counsel. Jack is also a member of the VOCS, Fire and Life Safety, EMS and Health and Survival Sections of the IAFC. In addition, he has been very active at both the state and federal level in moving vital fire service legislation forward, including funding of the “Fire Bill”.
